Guitar Hero: 80's has been out for awhile now. I shall give you a review:
This edition is awesome in the fact that it features some of the most radical songs from the wayback machine, with hits like "Round and Round", "Seventeen" and "Ballroom Blitz". The covers sound pretty good, with the exception of one. They put in the song, "Police Truck" by Dead Kennedys, knowing full well that there's a reference to gang rape, but then they edit it. WUT? Also, only 30 songs in this game. NO BONUS SONGS. fgsfds.
The characters have been retextured to look like they came out a Motley Crue video. That's all fine and well. However, they only kept 6 of the characters. That's right: Xavier Stone is gone. WRY.
The venues have been given a makeover to be a little more retro, but that's just it: a LITTLE. In fact, they even took out the Stone Henge venue.
Let's sum up: No bonus songs, lack of venues, missing characters. All for the great price of 30 somethin bucks! kthxNO. I give it a 4 out of 10. PHAIL.
I also rented Spyro: A Hero's Tail. I'm a massive fan of the early Spyro games. All three were beaten at 100%, which is hard as HELL. However, it seems that Hero's Tail doesn't have the love and tenderness so presented by Insomniac. It just doesn't have that... feeling that the first game conveyed. The controls are kinda sluggish, the voice actor is different, and the humor feels a little pushed. I give it a 5 out of 10.
Finally, Unreal Tournament 2007 comes out next month. I expect you all to get it.
